Season 3 Is Coming… and We’re Equal Parts Shocked and Thrilled!

Well, here we are again. It's that time of year! Somehow, while we were busy restocking shelves, organizing the shoppe, and checking off the endless “before opening day” list… the calendar decided to sprint ahead. I looked at it this week and realized something slightly shocking:

Next month we open for Season 3!

How did that happen so fast? Part of me is still in disbelief. The other part of me is downright excited because if I’m being honest… I’ve missed our guests. The laughter, the kids debating candy choices like it’s a life decision, the waffle cone smell filling the shoppe, and the familiar faces walking through the door. Today was a big moment in the preseason prep.

Our ice cream order arrived!

If you’ve ever loved ice cream as much as we do, you understand that getting those boxes & tubs feels a little like Christmas morning. And tucked inside were two brand-new flavors we’ve never carried in the shoppe before. I’m already excited for you to try them.

And speaking of flavors… If you haven’t been keeping up online, we have some news that made a lot of people very happy: Me Want Cookie is permanently back in the lineup! Last season we had way too many disappointed faces when we had to say, “Sorry… we can’t get any more.” That flavor has quite the fan club, so bringing it back felt like welcoming an old friend home.

Another exciting change is happening behind the scenes with our ice cream partner. Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream is going dye-free. They’ll be rolling out the updated flavors as they convert them, starting this year. We couldn’t be happier about that change. Last fall when I attended ConeCon, we had the chance to sample some of the new flavors they’re releasing. Let me just say this… They were ridiculously good. Like the kind of good where you want to immediately tell everyone… but you also have to keep the secret for months. Trust me when I say I cannot wait to start sharing them with you this season.

We also have a few new events planned this year, along with some favorites that many of you asked us to bring back. I’ve started entering events on Facebook since those are easier to adjust if details change.

For now, though, it’s back to work over here. There are shelves to organize, supplies to stock, and about a hundred little things to finish before opening weekend.
