Season Two at Jerzey Junction: We’re Back, Baby!

Well hey there, sweet friends! Look who's back for round two- Jerzey Junction is officially open for our second season, and let me tell you, we’re coming in with a little more confidence, a whole lot of lessons learned, and yes, the same sugary sparkle we kicked things off with last year.

Let’s just get this out of the way: Last year was WILD. We were learning on the fly, juggling waffle cones and cash registers like circus pros. There were late nights, early mornings, and enough “oops” moments to fill a blooper reel. But guess what? We made it. And we didn’t just survive- we thrived. (Okay, maybe we crashed into the wall a few times, but we did it with style.)

This year? We’re coming in HOT. Not like melty-ice-cream hot, but like “we’ve got this” hot. The menu is stacked, the vibes are high, and we’ve got most of our original dream team staff back in action. (Shoutout to our amazing crew- you know who you are!) And yes, we’ve added a couple fresh faces who are ready to scoop, swirl, and sprinkle their way into your hearts.

For Debbie and I, this little dream of ours has been years in the making. And while we thought we knew what we were getting into, let’s just say- there’s no manual for transforming a laundromat into a candy-colored wonderland. But through every late night, sticky counter, and flavor fiasco, this has been the sweetest journey, and we wouldn’t trade it for anything.  But there is absolutely no way we could have done any of this without our husbands.  Scott and Keith, you are saints for putting up with us during the transformation.  We certainly didn’t make it easy! This season is more than just reopening our doors. It’s about building on the magic we created last year, embracing the chaos with a grin, and continuing to make Jerzey Junction a place where every visit feels like a sweet escape. From little kids on sugar highs to nostalgic grownups reliving their candy-store dreams- we’ve got something for everyone.

Now, people ask me all the time: “What’s the best part of owning an ice cream shoppe?” Easy. Our guests. Watching little ones press their faces against the dipping cabinet, trying to pick the prettiest scoop, or giggling as they spot their favorite candy on the display wall- that’s the magic. That’s what keeps us pouring our hearts (and sprinkles) into this place every single day. So whether you’re here for the homemade waffle cones (you’re welcome), our ever-changing lineup of bold ice cream and Italian ice flavors, or just need a good ol’ candy fix- know this: we’re SO glad you’re here.

So what’s new this year? Oh honey, I’m so glad you asked.

Craft Sodas Galore! We’ve added a small but mighty section of craft sodas, including a parade of root beers, creamy creams, orangey oranges, grapey grapes- you get the idea. The research was so fun (hello, taste-testing), and we made sure to stock something for everyone.

More Candy, More Fun! The candy lineup just keeps growing- some of it is literally arriving as I type this! Look out for old-fashioned goodies like candy buttons and flavored sticks. Nostalgia alert!

We’re Live, Baby! Our brand new website is up and running, and we want YOU to check it out! Peek around, share your thoughts, and maybe even spot your favorite treat on there.

Community Love A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out for opening weekend- we felt the love! Your support means the world to us and allows us to give right back to our community. This year, we’re proud to be sponsoring Witches Night Out and the Fall Festival- two fabulous family-friendly events here in Lake Mills.
